CAMEROON COMMEMORATES THE 17TH EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL REFUGEE DAY.

The 9267 refugees in Cameroon gathered in the regional head quarters of the country today 20th June 2017 under the auspices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), to commemorate the 17th edition of the International Refugee Day under the theme “sign the petition with the refugees”.

Leaving in Cameroon for less than a decade or more for other, these less fortunate persons from Nigeria, Chad, Central African Republic (CAR), Rwanda, Burundi, Congo Brazzaville and Congo DR came out this day with smiling face to enumerate some of the difficulties they face leaving in Cameroon. The refugees affirmed that it is not easy to educate their children in their host land, also they have sanitation and health issues. In a nutshell the foreigners complained that social integration in Cameroon is not all that easy. But all the same they are very happy to leave in a country that offers them peace for no price.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on its part did not relent in appreciating the effort made by the Cameroonian government in providing safe heavens to the unfortunate citizens of the above mansion perturbed African nations. Meanwhile on their part the host nation promised to do all their best in bringing solutions to the issues raised by the refugees so that their stay in the country could be blissful one.
