At the time when Cameroon is at a desert crossing period of its history, with an intense sociopolitical crisis that has scarified its Anglophone citizens with very difficult moments, the arrival of an angel in the person of Dr Erisemary Dinga of the Emmis’s Foundation was just timely. With her initiative of empowerment she showers a light in the dark tunnel of their despair.

Rev Dr Erisemary who founded the Foundation almost a decade a go in Missouri U S A thought it wise to bring the initiative back home where a lot of people are really in need and will benefit from it, especially the girl child and the single mother. On the field for the short time that Emmi’s Foundation has been in Cameroon, they have been working quietly without trumpet blowing. Helping single mother start businesses, sending them back to school. “I use to be a single mother and I know the task that is on every young single mother… Coming from my experience I think I have to talk to this young ladies telling them, even if you have a baby you should know your life has just begun, you can go back to school or start your own business”. Dr Erisemary said.

Emmis Foundation is just a part of the umbrella structure which is called EMMI’S EMPIRE with the mother house based in the U S. The Empire does a whole lot of good things to the less privileged, ranging from personal empowerment, counseling, schooling, psychological and spiritual upliftment just to name a few. Emmi’s Empire is aware that the present sociopolitical situation of the country has left many orphans, that is why it is organizing a fund raising gala on the 26th of January 2020 in St John’s Plaza in Bonapriso Douala to raise funds for the construction of an orphanage that will nurture, teach and train the frail and needy kids. Because the Cameroonian born Dr Erisemary Dinga has a principle, “teach them how to fish rather than giving them fish”.
